Today the company now focuses on industries that require fast turn around and complex parts for high tech industries such as Micro Electronics, Automotive, Fiber/Optics, Medical, and Military, as well as emerging markets and technologies
MICRO-MOLD PARTS:
Micro-Molding is the essence of what we do at Accumold. It is where we began as a company and it remains at the heart of our operation today. Our Micro-Molded parts range from about 1/2 inch in size to parts measured in microns. These components often have complex geometry and very tight tolerances.
SMALL PARTS:
These components range from about 1/2 inch in size to about 3 inches in diameter. Or, at most, about a 1 ounce shot size on a 35-ton machine. Often times these parts have what is perceived as impossible micro-sized features that require micron exactness. For example this fiber optic Rosa pictured here maintains micron level
tolerances and has an aspheric, prescription lens molded right into the plastic.
LEAD FRAME PARTS:
Using Accumold's unique technology, we can mold plastic on and around all different types of metal, tin, copper, silver, and gold. Plastic is replacing ceramic as the packaging materials in some instances. Thermoplastics can provide 85% of the performance of ceramic at 25% of the cost.
